Mammal Hands formed in Norwich in 2012 and quickly gained a reputation for their hypnotic fusion of jazz and electronica. In 2013 they signed to Gondwana Records and have since released five highly acclaimed albums, including ‘Gift from the Trees’ in 2023. Their unique sound has been highly regarded by trendsetters Tom Ravenscroft, Bonobo, Jamie Cullum and Gilles Peterson.
Their intense and mesmerizing live performances have earned them an outstanding reputation as a live band and have enabled them to tour extensively around the world, including performances in Japan, China, the USA, Thailand and throughout Europe.
Their most notable live performances include appearances at the Barbican London, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Montreux Jazz Festival, Cologne Philharmonie, La Cigale Paris, Montreal Jazz Festival, Athens Technopolis and Unit Tokyo.
With a wide range of influences, Mammal Hands draw inspiration from jazz, contemporary classical, electronica, folk and minimalism to create their own distinctive style that captures the imagination of a loyal following worldwide. (press release)
