Michael Arbenz has created compositions that refer directly to classical works. For the release tour of the new album, the pianist is teaming up with the great saxophonist Andy Sheppard. Sheppard, one of the most influential saxophonists in jazz today with his independent, modern playing that also respects tradition, moves confidently through the lyrical, rhythmically and harmonically complex and open compositions.
