I regret to inform you that, due to an unexpected emergency, I will be unable to perform in Wien on September 9th. I’m deeply disappointed, as I was very much looking forward to this concert and to seeing all of you.

However, I am incredibly grateful — and excited — to announce that the extraordinary Alicia Svigals will be available to perform in my place. In my view, Alicia is the greatest living klezmer violinist and a true creative powerhouse. She and I performed together for eight years during the early days of The Klezmatics, and I was constantly in awe of her brilliance, expressiveness, and innovation. Her appearance is sure to be a major musical event — a rare opportunity to witness one of klezmer’s most iconic artists live in Europe.
