Die Geschichte von Someone is going to come: Er (Halvor F. Melien, Bariton) und Sie (Marianne Folkestad Jahren, Sopran) wollen sich von der Welt zurückziehen und ihre Liebe in Isolation pflegen. Zu diesem Zweck haben sie ein altes Haus direkt an der Küste gekauft. Ihr ständiges Insistieren zu Beginn, dass jemand kommen wird, signalisiert, dass das nicht gut ausgehen kann. Vielleicht hat er recht damit, dass sie selbst will, dass jemand kommt? Dieser „jemand“ materialisiert sich bald in Gestalt des Mannes (Magnus Staveland, Tenor), der ihnen das etwas verfallene Haus verkauft hat, in das sie einziehen möchten.
