On December 30, 2026, Harri Stojka and his band will present the program SALUTE TO JIMI HENDRIX at Porgy & Bess Vienna—this time enriched by impressive visuals by Bruno Kratochvil.
Stojka, born in Vienna in 1957 and long a fixture on the international guitar scene, interprets the music of Jimi Hendrix in his own distinctive way: with virtuosity, passion, and an artistic signature that goes far beyond mere imitation. Hendrix captivated the young Harri as early as 1967 – today, 55 years later, Stojka himself has been on stage for just as many years.
Based on his CD Salut To Jimi Hendrix, released in 2020, Stojka performs classics such as Purple Haze, Voodoo Child, and All Along the Watchtower, as well as his own pieces that breathe the spirit of Hendrix without copying him. Supported by his well-rehearsed band, he unfolds an intense homage to a musician who shaped rock history—and whose energy is revived here. (Press release)
