*Unspoken*, the ACT debut by Iranian-born, Vienna-based guitarist Mahan Mirarab, opens up a whole world of deeply felt stories that bridge East and West, darkness and beauty, sorrow and joy. It offers a profoundly human, intimate, and sensitive perspective on a time fraught with tensions and contradictions. Performing solo on the double-neck guitar and, on some tracks, alongside Kian Soltani (cello), Lars Danielsson (double bass), and Golnar Shahyar (vocals), Mirarab also traces his personal musical journey: jazz blends with influences from classical and folk music from Iran, European chamber music, and song-like elements.
