In the first set, the Köhne Quartet interprets string quartet compositions by Harald Huber: "Kassandra's Dream" - dedicated to the distinguished environmental historian Verena Winiwarter, "Resonance" - with texts by the sociologist Hartmut Rosa and - as a world premiere - the "Ionian String Quartet" - a musical and stylistic odyssey based on a simple Viennese song. Afterwards, reference is made to "Pieces of Africa" (Kronos Quartet 1992) and pieces by Kadero Ray and the string quartet is supplemented by musicians from Africa.

The second set then belongs to the Senegalese-Austrian formation "Daradji Percussion Band". Fast mbalax pieces by djembe master Ousmane "Ibou" Ba and pieces by Harald Huber, brought back from trips to Africa, ensure a lively end to the two-day festival. (Press release)
