The Endless Beat
Rhythm is repetition. Starting over. Modifying and reapplying—a forward momentum in an endless spiral. In this sense, no curtain falls when Günter Meinhart bids farewell to the stage with his latest project after decades full of groove—the music goes on!
The next generation carries it on in a collaborative effort: created from free interaction, vibraphonist Raphael Meinhart and drummer Christian Tschuggnall bring together a dozen top musicians in a chamber music ensemble to fuse composition and (live) improvisation in the collective composition THE ENDLESS BEAT. On wind instruments, percussion, and synthesizers, they form intricate sound spirals in minimalist garb from acoustic and computer sounds.
