Die Sterne 'Wenn es Liebe ist' (D)

Not much is known yet about the new Sterne album, but critics are already whispering: “Like ‘Posen,’ only not as fast and sung a little deeper.” Thirty years after their legendary 1996 album, which produced the Sterne classic “Was hat dich bloss so ruiniert” (What ruined you so?), the Sterne are going on tour again to perform their current album “Wenn es Liebe ist” (If it's love) on stage. The quality of the songs and, above all, the band's live performance quickly make the anniversary a secondary consideration. “How fresh you always are, even though you're already over 40,” writes Tino Hanekamp about the new single. Everyone senses a hit with “Wenn es Liebe ist.” The Sterne fan community is excited, but hit or no hit, somehow it doesn't matter. Die Sterne are on tour, and when Spilker, Valdés, Janzen, and Tielsch are on stage, people go to see them, period. It's time to celebrate the old days, but also the new ones. It's time to see familiar faces again and welcome the newly enamored members of the community. On these occasions, there is always a lot of love in the air. (Do you want my T-shirt? M doesn't fit me anymore anyway.) Small club, large hall, arena, soccer stadium – it doesn't matter: the main thing is Sterne. (Press release)
